Operators in Southeast Asia can now more readily implement Halliburton advanced stimulation and well intervention technologies. The new Stim Star Borneo vessel is a self propelled barge designed to work in the offshore oil and gas fields with the additional capability of servicing
wells in the rivers and deltas in Indonesia. 

The vessel is fully equipped to handle all phases of production stimulation including acidizing, acid fracturing, proppant fracturing, sand control and conformance treatments. In addition, the vessel is equipped to provide well intervention services using coiled tubing. 

Slickline and electric line capabilities can be readily added when required. 

At 200 ft length and 66 ft width, the Stim Star Borneo has an operating draft of 10.5 ft offshore and 9 ft in the delta areas. 

Above deck storage capacities consist of 5,200 gal acid, almost 4,400 gal additives and 350,000 lb proppant. 

Below deck capacities are almost 3,500 bbl of process and completion fluid and over 4,700 bbl of drill water. 

Maximum fracturing rate is 18 bbl/min with sand and 25 bbl/min with clean fluid.

The Stim Star Borneo is equipped with Halliburton’s proprietary InstaVis™ gel-on-the-fly system that uses a fully hydrated fracturing gel concentrate and provides important advantages: 

• Eliminates waiting for gel hydration.
• Enables almost instantaneous adjustments to help match fluid characteristics to formation parameters.
• Requires no waiting time to build additional fluid volume or change viscosity.
• Enables optimization of gel polymer loading during the treatment which can reduce the amount of polymer in the formation.
